about rita
Hi there! My name is Rita Richardson.
I’m a non-binary illustrator and designer who graduated from Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in May of 2021! Since then, I’ve been working on some personal projects and working towards being a freelance illustrator and designer. If you’re interested in working with me, check out my contact page!
I make a lot of digital artwork, usually in the app Procreate for iPad, but I do use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign often. My illustrations are very whimsical and sweet with a little bit of texture and lots of hand-rendered typography. I create illustrations for lots of different audiences to view, but my style of illustration leans more towards a younger audience. I love to create a lot of cute illustrations of animals, people, and food!
Along with illustrations and design, I’m also very big into sewing. I’ve created lots of bags for myself, family, and friends! Through this process, I’ve found the best pattern that works for me and makes a great product. If you’re interested in a bag, check out my contact page!
I also love to hang out with my cat, doodle, and play Animal Crossing in my free time.
